Conditions of Service

Parental Supervision

TogZone Swimming School has procedures in place which ensure that we comply with A.C.C Pool Safe Requirements.

  • For children’s safety there is to be no running around the pool area
  • Children must not be in the pool before their teacher has asked them to enter
  • Children under the age of 8 must be actively supervised by a parent/caregiver over the age of 16 years.

Fees

Enrolments are confirmed on receipt of payment in full for the month’s lessons. Payment is made by monthly direct debit on the 1st of the month until you or your child decides that they no longer wish to attend swimming lessons. TogZone Swimming School lessons run over two semesters, stopping for one week in July and a four week break plus statutory holidays over Christmas/New Year period.

Please note it is your responsibility to provide the swim school with notice of cancellation in writing prior to the 27th of the current month. Forms are available from the Swim School Reception desk. After 2 weeks of non payment your child will be unable to swim until payment of lessons is made.

Refund Policy

TOGZONE SWIMMING SCHOOL IS UNABLE TO GRANT REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It is the responsibility of each student to attend the classes that he/she is committed to. However, a credit will be considered (at management’s discretion) only in case of a medical nature which requires the student to be out of the water for more than two consecutive lessons in a given month. The next credit given will be for the number of lessons remaining following notification with maximum credit given being for three lessons. A medical certificate will be required.

Holidays

Please notify the swim school (before 27th of the previous month) if your child will be absent during the public school holidays. If you choose to take your holiday outside of the standard public school holidays then payment is required for the lessons that are missed if you wish to continue on the same day and time.

Appropriate Swimwear for Lessons

Children swimming in rash shirts and board shorts are disadvantaged due to the drag that is created in the water by wearing them. This swimwear is great for the beach and protects children from the sun but makes learning to swim difficult.

You can purchase appropriate swimwear and aquatics equipment at our on-site shop or other sports shops.

  1. Girls Speedo type togs (no bikinis, rash vests or board shorts), goggles, swim cap.
  2. Boys Speedo type briefs or shorts, lined nylon rugby shorts, goggles, swim cap.

Photography within the Facility

From time to time we have visitors that come into the centre to photograph the facility or children swimming.  I wish to assure all parents/caregivers that we do not allow any photography without first gaining the parent/caregiver’s permission.

Rollover System

Students will be rolled over each month and moved into the correct classes as they progress.  If there is no space in an appropriate class they will be placed on the waitlist for that particular class and you will pay only for the lessons they have in that particular block.  We are happy to leave a child in their current class however, until there is room in the one they are to progress to, so that they can keep the continuity of their lessons going.

Missing a Lesson

We appreciate you letting us know when a child will be absent with illness or another event they need to attend.

TogZone does not provide makeup lessons as your child is booked into a month block of classes and not individual lessons.  Your child’s place in the class remains their space for that block.
